OT Camp - Day 1

It's now 2:22am in the morning! I can't believe we practise till so late.. >.<>.

Today (or should I say yesterday? XD) we had our first practice, and quite a lot of people had come already... I must say that the juniors are more committed than us.. ^^ Even erhu teacher came and guide us throughout the practice. I really learnt a lot from him today, and all of us had had lot of fun! Before this I didn't know that some songs that I'd practised would sound so nice when combining with other instruments, such as Colours of the Wind, Rasa Sayang and more... ^^

Tomorrow practice will start on 9:00am.. I think I'd better go to sleep now... Update again tomorrow.. =P

Lack of sleep lately... Busy of doing OT concert proposal (I hate being secretary...), then assignments (copy here n there... lol) and project for U3 pengurusan kualiti... Oh yea, I hadn't settled the OT members list for Pusat Kebudayaan and Choir members fee... >.< Argh... I need entertainment! Busy with practices and performances recently too, because of the Pesta Tanglung... By now, I'd already performed in KUO, KKM, Kajang, AIESEC... No more stage fright luu... XD There'll be one more performance to go in KRK on the 8/10...

My studies really suck... Found out that my numerical method result last few weeks... I only got 15 out of 30! Can't stand to know the results of my other subjects.. =.= I'd surely screw all of them... MUST work hard for the final!

Well, think of the bright side, holiday is coming soon, only 2 more days to go.. XD Statistics course trip will be held on next sunday at Genting.. I guess that'll be fun! Thanks to Zhen Hao for arranging the accommodation and transport, and thanks to Shu Ying & Huang Lu for planning the programs! Plus a big thanks to all statistics course mates for your support! ^^

去了一趟Mid Valley…讲是说gathering，结果只是我、孙升、毅龙和仲豪出来…一起看了“The Mummy”…还好而已，没有紧张的感觉…其实整部戏就好像直接把Scorpion King改成Dragon Emperor…跟三个男生出去，话题真的有点无聊…哈哈…可能太久没有见面，我都不懂要说什么了…后来因为我要赶回去UKM的毕业典礼彩排，六点就回了…

KTM很多人，我真的是被挤到要动也动不了…而且还要担心钱和手机…上一次跟静双去看笛管演奏会的时候穿裙挤KTM还要担心有色狼！其实在KTM上面突然有个想法，真的很突然的哦！突然很想有个男朋友可以陪我一起搭KTM哦…哈哈…=P

彩排没有什么特别，只是试音而已…回到Zaba当然就是要看奥运开幕典礼咯！^^很不错哦，最后点火炬的时候那个人还会‘飞’起来…不过看到十二点多真的很想睡噢，结果也是没有看完，只看了烟花，真的很美…

（这个post纯粹是为了给我的回忆做一个记录，不是写得很认真，所以不是很有规律，大家多多包涵哦！^^）

Orientation Week 2008/2009

Came back to UKM on 21th June. There's a 2-day practises for Orchestra Traditional then I straightaway checked in at KPZ as a PC Pusat Kebudayaan lo! (Me, Rachel, Hui Xin, Hoc Mun, Ken Yong and Hafiz are PC Pusat for choir.. ^^)

My job here was actually quite simple.... The first day I simply walked around my kolej and helped those parents and new kids to daftar... Like I once was, they're really nervous and worried about their courses, whether the rooms and food here are nice...

Mei Hui came back. Even though she'd already graduated, but she ''tak sampai hati'' to leave choir gua, so she illegally came and stayed with me for one night at Zaba... >.< She even brought her FI shirt along so she could pretend to be a PC Pusat... lol Anyway, we went around and helped, then at the same time we could promote Choir Artisukma lo! Haha... Clever leh... ^^

It's not really that difficult to teach the new students to sing in choir la... just a bit tricky for the Alto lo... Luckily we had a lot of volunteers who came back and help: Soke Ni, Shu Jun, Jacinta, Tracie, Tuck Choy, Eng Kiat, Ken Leong, Mei Hui, Zaza, Yew Siong and Terence. Eugene, Tze Khang, Jia Qi and Fuina were so 'gan jiong', they kept calling and sms me (Especially Tze Khang lo, but he said 'gan jiong' is what we choir do best wo... lol) but I really appreciate it la.. ^^

Anyway, all went quite according to our plan and those new students sang 'Varsiti Kita' and 'Ilmu, Mutu dan Budi' this morning. Quite good and I'm really happy that we've done it lo! ^^ Audition will be held next week, hope that we can get a lot of new choir members la!

PS: Watched 'The Happening'... Haiz... Quite dissapointing lo...

It's been so long since I last updated my blog... There'd been a lot of events throughout the semester, but I hadn't had the time and 'mood' to write them all down here.. Haiz... Lazy ma... =P For orchestra traditional I'd had performances at colleges. I was really nervous for the first few times, my hands and lips would shake like hell, and I'd even read the wrong score! Haha... But I'm starting to get used to it now la... And now I've been made the secretary of OT! XD I'll try my best to do my work and not to let the others down lo... ^^

For choir, there'd been choir exchange and choir night. I really had a lot of fun on choir exchange.. We'd invited UM 9th College Choir, they're all very friendly and funny. We had games like 'catching broom', 'cat chase mouse'.. =P About the choir night, I'd got another big surprise! I'm now the treasurer of Choir! Since all the seniors kept assuring me that there's nothing much to do, I accepted the post... I'm just afraid that I can't handle it, but I still have a assistant treasurer la! ^^ I'll do my best lo...

christmas-new year-now

It was my first time going to a Christmas caroling with my choir members last holiday around Christmas. Christmas caroling is a once-a-year activity for choir in Cyberview Lodge Resort at Cyberjaya (It’s a 5-star hotel!) We sang 12 songs, and I was really enjoying myself there knowing everyone was listening and giving us applause. ^^ I had a lot of fun indeed, practicing and even going out for a movie (We watched National Treasure II, it’s quite good!) with choir.

I came back to UKM on 30^th of December. Actually I know that school won’t start on time on 31^st of December, but I was planning to go countdown with my friends on new year eve, so I came back early. ^^ We went Sungei Wang, because there’d be a countdown concert there. Along with me were Chau Shen, Ching Shuan, Siew Tung, Yong Fock, Brenda and Celyn. Since we didn’t have a VIP ticket, we could only squeeze ourselves in! We’re really lucky to get quite close to the side of the stage. The view was quite good, except the PA system blocked our view sometimes…

We’re sweaty and tired but still we’d fun! Yee Long and Teng Loong also came that night but I didn’t meet them since it’s too crowded and they’re on another side of the stage. Well, I hope we could meet each other soon some other time!

Going back to UKM had been a real disaster… Everyone was fighting to get into the train! When we finally reached the ktm station at UKM, yong fock suggested that we should all walked back to Zaba (my college) on the 1^st day of new year! What a stupid idea… We could actually board a taxi! But he insisted, so we walked about 1 hour before we reached Zaba at last! Thinking back I know it’s really dangerous and thank goodness we didn’t meet any ‘bad people’… =P

Well, we’d started schooling now, and I decided to take 20 units this semester. I was quite surprised with my grade (I got 3.71!) and of course really satisfied. ^^ But we hadn’t actually got any homework from lecturers, and it’d be quite boring staying at hostel during weekend, so we went out again yesterday! (Old place, Mid Valley) Julian, Ching Shuan and I watched ‘Enchanted’ while Chau Shen watched ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’ with her friends. Personally, I was quite disappointed after watching ‘Enchanted’. Many of my friends said that it’s a great movie, but I think it’s not worth RM11 for a movie ticket! =P The story is quite un-logic and a bit childish… (It’s a personal opinion la…) Like what Ching Shuan said, too much fantasy. Maybe I shouldn’t be too rational and logical while watching that movie… But I still like the songs in it.

Holiday Plan I

Boring holiday... Well, not anymore! I'm going back to KL tomorrow for a gathering of matriculation friends... Actually it's just a gathering of my gang, so there'll only be less than 10 people.. (Well, I'm not quite sure, the organizer is not me!) I'm sure we're going to have great fun! If the plan hasn't been changed, we'll be going to Sunway and maybe stay one night there.. ^^

Then I'll head straight to Kajang on the 5th of Dec for OT (Orchestra Traditional, I play flute.) practise camp from 6 to 8 Dec. I'm quite nervous actually, because I don't know many people in OT, and many of my friends won't go... But I think I can learn a lot, that's why I decided to go! Besides, it's also an opportunity for me to get to know more people, right? Haha..

So people, I won't be online-ing for a week starting tomorrow! If anyone of you miss me, you could sms or call me whenever you like! Haha... ^^

We didn’t sleep again last night! Well, since it’s the last paper already (C++ Programming) and I don’t think I’ll score in Calculus and Statistics, I hope I could get better result for programming.

As so many times before, we stayed until about 7 o’clock in the morning, and we’re all hungry and tired due to studying and facing the laptop all night… So Hao agreed to take us to McD for breakfast! But then after the breakfast, while we’re on the way back to UKM, a ‘little’ accident happened… I couldn’t tell whose fault, but our car scratched another car that’s coming from behind when we cut into another road… >.<>st-year…

I didn’t know why, but I was quite calm when it happened… Maybe I was too surprise rather than scared. It’s only when we’re heading back to UKM then I felt terrified as I recalled what occurred! I mean, if we or they drove too fast, it might not just be a bit of scratch on the car… Thank goodness no one got hurt…

Life is so unpredictable… Everyone knows that! But I wonder who’d really care what it truly means… Now here I am, sitting at the café and blogging, but who knows what will happen next?!

Study, study and study lately... Like sky said, no more love, love and love... Haha... We'd all been so tensed because 3 major exams are coming up, and we're still struggling to finish the syllabus in time!

It'd been a relief that yesterday we all went out to eat steamboat... It cheered all of us up! (though we'd only just went to Mid Valley the day...) It's great to have several hours without facing the books. Haha... Here, I think I should thank Wei's boyfriend for giving us a ride, and also Ad for leading the way (even though we realised after that he's taking us to the same place Wei took us to last time... Haha...)

P/S: Low battery... I think I'll continue tomorrow! ^^

Outing @ Mid Valley

Last night was a great night. As we won’t have another exam paper in one week, so Xiew Tung, Chau Shen, Ching Shuang and I decided to go shopping in Mid Valley. Leon and Julian came too, and also two of my friends in UTAR and KTAR, Yee Long and Zhong Hoo. It’d been such a long time since I last saw Zhong Hoo (two years ago?) well, he did change a lot; I couldn’t even recognize him when I saw his back! I was quite touched Julian and Yee Long could come actually, because Julian's actually sick and he just had his exam in the morning, I'm sure he's very tired... And Yee Long was working the day before, he told me he slept at 2am! I hope he could have enough rest by the time he got back...

Anyway, we watched a movie called ‘Stardust’. At first, I thought it was nothing spectacular, just a usual love story, as a young man, Tristan, wanted to catch a star to win the heart of his dream girl, Victoria. Then the story went on… (I don’t want to spoil the surprise here, go and watch it by yourself!) It turned out that it’s very touching and at the same time, exciting too! I personally would like to watch it for a 2^nd time!

As we wanted to buy a present for Xiew Tung, we asked Leon to get her somewhere else, by the way they could have a 'testing date' what... Haha.. We'd quite a laugh on Xiew Tung's rank (for boys, of course!) Here I couldn't tell you who's her no. 1 choice, but I'll give her my full support! I think I'll make one ranking for myself when I'm free too! I wonder who'll get the topmost place... Hehe... But still, like Yvanne in 'Stardust' said, "Love is unconditional, unexpectable, uncontrollabe, unbearable... etc etc..." ^^

I know I’m bluffing… Forgive me if you can’t understand what I try to say…

Is it because of the exam? I don’t know. I feel sad today after coming back from Jing Shuang’s room. I always believe that eating chocolates help me feel better when I’m down, but today it’s doesn’t help either.

I really need someone to talk to, a close friend, who I can confide in without feeling ashamed or embarrassed. But I don’t think I’ve found him/her yet. I once had a friend in matriculation. She is my best friend of all my best friends! I could tell her anything, from my favorite clothes to my deepest secret. But then it’s the graduation and she’s now in UPM with her new friends and I with mine.

Will I be able to find someone like her again in UKM? I hope by then I could have someone to talk to when I have troubles. Maybe I always give the others impression that I’m a very funny and happy person. I try to make people laugh whenever I’m with them, because I feel happy too when I see them smile! But it’s not that I won’t feel sad. I try to conceal it within me only because I don’t want people to think that I’m very emotional or weak.

Sometimes I have feeling that I’m different from the others. I feel weird being an 18-year-old girl in university. People around me always change since primary school. I skipped Standard 4 and make new friends, and then I went secondary school and make new friends there in Kuala Kangsar. After graduation, I went Matriculation College in Negeri Sembilan alone and again I make new friends there. Now I’m here in UKM while most of my friends in UPM and some of my friends still dealing with STPM. My friends always say I’m very lucky because I’m still very young! But I don’t like people treating me like a little girl… I know I’m not mature enough, but I’ll try to do my best! Just don’t forget about me… I’ll try to meet more people and be more sociable; just don’t forget about me…

Exam, exam, exam...

Never before had I felt so depressed after exam... Last Friday I'd had my mid sem exam for Statistic and I sucked so bad! It's like just sitting over there in Kompleks Bestari and I can't do anything to answer the exam sheet! Like my friend said, he'd wasted one hour there just to get air-conditioned... Before this, I never had to worried about any exam, especially for questions to do with Mathematics... But now, all these things that deal with probability and random variables, it's been a miracle I can still sit here blogging.

Well, what's done is done.. Now I can do nothing with the mid exam, so my coursemates and I went to Sungei Wang! (Though my mind still lingered around the exam paper...) Quite relaxing after all those assignments and mid sem. We even took a 'big-heads' snap! We had fun, but now I had only about $10 left in my purse... I guess I'll have to eat cup mee for the rest of this week..

Finally (and unwillingly), study week had started to let us prepare for the final exams. Though I had the chance to go back home, but the fact is that now we'd only less than 1 month until the final exams! Can't relax too much! =P

Convocation 35

It'd been such a long time since I updated my blog. There'd been so many things to be done, especially with last week konvokesyen, and all sorts of assignments, I can hardly breath! Well, life still has to go on, isn't it? Though I'm very busy with homework and projects, I don't think writing blog is considered a waste of time (like some of my friends do), as this is the only place where I can express my feelings in words..

Well, thank goodness now that convocation's finally over! I'd tried my best to attend to as many sessions as possible, especially when there're choir seniors graduating. The moment that I enjoyed most was when we all sang 'Music Speak to Me Now' in a circle (kinda 'syok sendiri'.. haha.. but feel good^^) for the graduating seniors and the going-to-graduate seniors. And of course we won't miss out the 'lambung' of those graduating seniors, I even got the chance of 'lambung-ing' Yun Xin (KK was so nervous, maybe he thought we don't have enough strength, but we made it!) Singing for the convo's indeed a great experience for me.. Although it's very boring while waiting there and we had to fake our enthusiasm while singing 'Nyalakan Tekad' and 'Tanjung Puteri', it helps me to understand more about Choir, and also get closer with all of the choir members.

A big thank you to all choir members and of course, Eugene, for letting me to join in this great big family...

Life in UKM

Finally, my 1st ever blog is formed. I wish I could jolt down everything that's happened in my life here, to be kept as a record (something like a diary)...

Well, 1st thing 1st, I've started my life here in UKM for about a month now. I checked in to KPZ (Kolej Pendeta Za'ba), the buildings are quite new, and the food here is quite tasty compared to the other colleges' (that's what i heard from my friends..) But still, this college that i stay now is really far from my faculty! (I study Statistics, at FST) I get frustrated sometimes while I wait for the UKM buses, and the way we fight to get into the bus, you'll think we're mad... Most of the times I'm more willing to stand than to fight the way through with the others... Well, that's nothing to be complaint though, I can't change it right? I'm getting used to it now, and i've got a bunch of friends here in Za'ba too! Now we're planning to stay here next year...

Oh yeah... There's something else I want to share, I'm joining the UKM Choir now! During the audition, I was so nervous that I kept twisting my fingers behind my back! Haha... But everything is ok now, the seniors there are all very nice, helping us to learn songs for Pesta Konvo.. We've overall 13 songs to practise, sometimes trying to remember the lyrics and tunes is driving me mad! Still, I get excited everytime there's practise session on Sunday and Tuesday night. Singing in a team is nothing like i've done before, and great pleasure always come everytime we learn a new song together.

Uni life is different from what i'd experienced in secondary school or matriculation (except for lectures and tutors... Still very boring...), it's a totally new life, yet I long to experience more from here...
